Separate maintenance from new development
Routine maintenance covers updates, backups, security monitoring, uptime checks and small content changes. New templates, integrations or campaigns should be estimated separately.
Define response and recovery before problems
Agree who receives alerts, how quickly critical failures are handled, how backups are tested and which accounts the business owns. A backup that has never been restored is not a recovery plan.
Frequently asked questions
Does a static website need maintenance?
Yes, though usually less: hosting, forms, dependencies, certificates, analytics and content still need checks.
When is a monthly plan worthwhile?
When downtime or outdated information costs more than the plan and the business needs a named person to respond consistently.
